Good for trudging on gentle terrain if you just want to easily get to a lean-to and have a coffee and have no intention of doing any sports. At best, in soft snow in a densely overgrown forest, where walking would be laborious, but a long ski would not fit in to turn. The structure is flexible and not very leggy, so it won't support a very large man, but there are longer ones in the same manufacturer's collection. With general bindings, you can put a couple of telemark turns on a soft project to avoid trees, if you already know how, but when you do that you quickly realize why these are called sliding snowshoes, not skis. Fortunately, the fur slows down downhill. However, I would rather drag in the snow with these than without them. A good choice for a lighter and shorter hiker who doesn't want steel edges because of the dog or child. Why not put it in the trunk of a remote area car in case the car freezes, or if you suddenly feel the urge to stop and stare at the birds or stars during your trip?

You need a certain kind of soft snow, which these are suitable for and support a 155cm skier well, but if the surface of the hang has become hard at all, the skis will slide sideways on an inclined level completely recklessly. Many slips have been pulled with these when I bought the spring winter for Koppurahangi, not having yet experienced the soft snows of early winter.
